NASA Get's Interactive

NASA is launching a new interactive program that let's users zip through the solar system. The site has data dating back to 1950's NASA mission and projected to 2050 so users can experience missions in real time from different viewpoints, including onboard the spacecraft. NASA describes their new program with the following:

"Eyes on the Solar System" is a 3-D environment full of real NASA mission data. Explore the cosmos from your computer. Hop on an asteroid. Fly with NASA's Voyager 2 spacecraft. See the entire solar system moving in real time. It's up to you. You control space and time.

Many advances in renewable energy can be directly linking back to R&D done by NASA over the last 60 years. WIth the space shuttle being discontinued, NASA plans on focusing it's resources toward developing many new technologies.

You can test of their new program by going to http://solarsystem.nasa.gov/eyes/
